This is a fairly large park, there are wonderful, huge trees that keep the park shaded and cool, the playground has lots of fun stuff for kids but it is a typical playground not a new updated one which is fine with me. There is also an indoor pool to play in as well, frisbee golf course, a couple covered places with tables for family outtings and a commemoration to some of the war veterans. The only downside is that the park is right next to the main road so watch your little ones, although it is opposite the playground it's still a worry as the coal truckers are a constant through Gunnison.
Really well maintained park also the indoor city pool is adjacent to the park.
I like the war memorial. A very large park too with play ground for the kids
Clean accessible restrooms. Fun, updated playground equipment for all ages. There's a frizbee golf course here also. Great for family reunion's and get together's. Especially since it's located right next to the city pool. Huge grassy area awesome for soccer and volleyball.
This is a small park that has a Veterans Memorial area in the front by the sidewalk. There are veteran names on the wall from several wars. There is also a Statue of a veteran kneeling down with a rifle and a large military gun on the grass. A quick stop but I couldn't get too interested in the park.
